Will I still be the owner of my content even when a customer purchases it?
Yes, you will always be the copyright owner of your own creations. The customer is only purchasing the rights to use what you've created. You're selling them a usage license NOT the ownership. You’ll always own the copyright. When a customer wants to use your content, they purchase a license that gives them legal permission to use it in their projects. it could show up on a billboard, a book cover, in a magazine article, blog post, or on a website—almost anywhere.



What sort of license is being sold to customers?
Customers purchase a Royalty-free license to use your content. It allows them to use your content for an unlimited amount of time in as many projects as they like, for a one-time fee.



Am I allowed to sell my content elsewhere?
Yes, you are free to upload and sell your content elsewhere. We don't not require content to be exclusive to Stockphoto.com only.



What are the requirements for becoming a Stockphoto.com Contributor?
You must be at least 18 years old and the sole owner of every file you upload for sale.



What kind of content can I upload?
You can sell original photographs, video clips and illustrations online as a Stockphoto.com Contributor. Our customers are looking for diverse, high-quality content in all subject areas, including, videos, drone footage, technology, medical, people, work, lifestyle, business, and much more.



Can I change my mind?
Sure! You are in control of your own portfolio always. Add or remove as many images as often as you like! Remember, the more great content in your portfolio, the better the chance of earning.



How do I upload my portfolio?
Just organise your photos in your Dropbox, Google Drive, Google Photos or Microsoft OneDrive folder. Login to upload.stockphoto.com then share read-only access for that folder.



How long before my photos are ready for sale?
After you’ve connected your Dropbox/Google Drive or Photos folder, we immediately review your portfolio for ownership, fraud and potential copyright issues. This usually takes no longer than an hour and then your photos are ready for sale and searchable by customers.



What are the size requirements for photos?
Photos should be in JPEG format and no larger than 3GB.
Minimum size = 720 x 960px, 5kb
Maximum size = 9000 x 9000px, 3GB



How much will I get paid?
Every time a customer licenses your content, we pay you a royalty. To license your content, a customer would purchase a subscription before downloading. Fifty percent (50%) of all subscription revenue gets distributed to the Contributors on a per unique download basis. The more subscriptions we sell, the greater the amount available for sharing with Contributors. The more downloads of your content, the more you get paid.



Do I need to include model or location releases?
No, you don’t. In the past, model and property releases were required if your content had recognizable people, places or logos. However, under our new Marketplace Agreement the Customer accepts all risk and responsibility for their use of all downloaded content from the Stockphoto.com library.

What are your payment terms?
Each month we will publish a detailed statement of licenses granted in the previous month showing the royalties that are due to you. Those royalties are then paid the month after you receive the statement. So, for example, any licenses sold during January are reported on February 15 and paid on March 15 (subject to a minimum payout balance of $20).
